The Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW), BUET, is proud to announce that two students from our university, Usman Gani Pranto (Level-3, Term-2) and Progga Parmita Rahman (Level-3, Term-2), have been awarded the highly competitive 2025-2026 ASHRAE Society Scholarship. This prestigious award is designed to support the next generation of HVAC&R enthusiasts on a global scale.

Competing against top engineering students worldwide, Usman and Progga secured this recognition from ASHRAE, the premier international governing body for the HVAC&R industry. This society-level scholarship provides comprehensive academic support for one full year, covering university tuition, project costs, engineering literature, and research supplies, as well as room and board.
Beyond their academic merits, both students are active leaders within the ASHRAE BUET Student Branch, where they serve as the Manager of the Logistics Team and Manager of the Public Communication Team, respectively. .
This remarkable milestone brings immense pride to BUET and sets an inspiring benchmark for fellow students. We extend our heartiest congratulations to Usman and Progga for this exceptional achievement and wish them continued success in their academic and professional endeavors.

BUET recently celebrated a remarkable act of global giving as alumni from Arizona, California, and Texas contributed USD 15,617.00 to support their alma mater. Led by Mr. Shaheedul Huq Manik, this donation is dedicated to the maintenance and upgradation of EEE laboratories, including essential software subscriptions for students. Professor Dr. A. K. M. Masud expressed deep gratitude, noting that such commitment from international professionals is truly inspiring. This generous gift directly empowers the next generation of engineers by providing them with modern tools and resources. It stands as a powerful testament to the enduring bond between BUET and its distinguished global community.
